These FREE Saint Patrick’s Day rainbow activities help kids develop their fine motor and color recognition skills. They are a fun addition to Pre-K, Preschool and Kindergarten math centers.

Saint Patrick’s Day – Rainbow Fine Motor Mat

These rainbow pom pom mats help kids identify colors and develop their fine motor skills.

Preparation – Begin by printing and laminating the mat for added durability. Next, grab some colored pom poms in red, yellow, green, blue and purple. I love getting the kids to pick up the pom poms with tweezers or tongs. So if you have some of them available, grab them too.

How to Play – Start by choosing a color on the rainbow such as red. Then pick up that color and match it to the rainbow color band on the mat. After that, choose a different color. Continue playing until all the colors on the rainbow have been completed.

Saint Patrick’s Day – Rainbow Dab a Dot Color Activity

Kids usually LOVE using bingo daubers! This rainbow activity is a great way for kids to learn about colors and develop their fine motor skills.

Preparation – Print the rainbow worksheet and then grab a set of bingo daubers in different colors. If you don’t have bingo daubers, you can easily substitute them with a large paint brush and a variety of paint colors. I used red, orange, yellow, green and blue. But the beauty of this activity is the kids can pick five colors they really like to use!

How to Play – Choose a color and dab all the dots on the first rainbow band. Next, choose another color and complete the second band. Continue dabbing all of the dots on the rainbow until it is completed. Voila, now you have a beautiful rainbow!
