Community Helpers Crafts – BUNDLE 1

The following crafts include templates are really easy to prep and include thick lines to help kids develop their scissor skills. You can grab them as an individual set or as part of a bundle.

Preparation

First print the templates on white paper and grab some craft supplies. I used a mix of acrylic paint, crayons, scissors and glue. Next, decorate the community helper and allow it to dry. After that cut out the body, head and hat. Finally use some glue to paste the pieces together.

Community Helper Worksheet Activities

There are a variety of community helper worksheets to choose from. I particularly love the one below because it is very visual for young students. First the kids can trace the word at the top. Then they can circle the answers and color the pictures. They’ll just need some verbal guidance from an adult who can read so they know what to circle.

Older students who are developing writing skills will be able to complete some of the other activities such as the “Can, Have, Are” chart or research report.
