Pattern Blocks Activities
These pattern blocks activities are a fun way for kids to learn about 2D shapes. The activities are suitable for children in preschool, kindergarten and first grade.
Roll and Cover Game
This is a hands-on game that works really well with a small group of two to six children.
Preparation – To play this game you will need pattern blocks, a game board and pattern blocks dice. If you have a pocket dice you can insert the printable labels. Otherwise, simply print the dice and fold it into a cube.
How To Play – Give each player one game board. Each player rolls the dice, names the shape and then places a pattern block over the corresponding shape on their mat. The first player to cover their mat wins!
Roll and Color Game
