Unicorn Number Mats
Preparation – Print and laminate the mats for added durability. Then grab some erasable markers. I prefer using regular washable markers with laminated activities, because they wipe off easily with a damp cloth.
How To Play – Begin by placing your marker on the dot. Then trace over each number until all of the numbers have been finished.
To extend learning, try reading the numbers forwards or backwards. You can also point to random numbers and say what they are.
There are a few different designs to choose from. Begin with the numbers 1 to 10, then once the kids have the hang of those move on to the numbers 1 to 20.
I usually print 6 copies of each number mat and then use them for morning work or small group work.
